This Ghirardelli Mint Chocolate tastes really good. The chocolate isn’t too sweet nor too bitter. It is also not too creamy or milky. As far as the mint filling, it adds some more sweetness to the Chocolate, but at the same time the mint is very refreshing. Perfect to have after dinner or as a dessert.

If you like Mint Chocolate, you might also want to try the After Eight Mint Chocolate. they are very good too. Also try the Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Chocolate which is kind of interesting taste (a combination of chocolate/dark chocolate with white chocolate and peppermint crust).

I’m a chocoholic and have tried every mocha, swiss almond chocolate, etc. coffee I’ve ever seen, k-cup and not k-cup. This is the best. It may actually be better than German chocolate cake–it’s like a no-cal, fat-free dessert. My favorite way to drink it right now is to throw in a packet of Splenda and a little bit of Organic Valley chocolate soy milk, though it’s good without sweetener or creamer. It’s chocolaty, with a hint of coconut. I highly recommend for anyone who likes coffee (it’s not a weak coffee, like most of the flavored kcups I’ve tried). The Ghiradelli chocolate squares – milk chocolate with peanut butter – come in a pretty red and gold foil bag that is easy to reseal. Each bag has about 9 square inch sized pieces of individually wrapped candy. The chocolate is flat with a raised edge and a bird imprint in the center. The milk chocolate is smooth and mild tasting, and I feel the peanut butter adds the perfect subtle touch. In fact, you can’t always see the peanut butter inside the disc, because it’s a very thin layer.

While the ingredient list is likely similar to Reeses Cups, these candies do not taste like Reeses cups to me. (I enjoy them both.) Ghiradelli Squares seem to be made with better quality chocolate. These, by the way, are made in California.

Since I’ve started buying groceries at amazon I have discovered “taste great” is a pretty subjective thing. That’s obvious since everyone has different tastes, but even so I wonder about some of the great reviews on some things. So I bought this because it was on sale with the 20 dollars off deal and didn’t actually expect to enjoy the milk. I bought the regular milk and this chocolate. Well, I’m pleasantly surprised to say it actually does taste great. The milk does have a very very slight different taste from milk you would get in your supermarket, but in no way does that take away from the milk. I drunk it when it was over room temp and then when it was cool. It tasted better cold, but it wasn’t bad warmer either. So I guess Horizon can consider me a convert to their milk and I will certainly buy again before the sale is off.

I gave it only two stars because I was disappointed in the amount of chocolate included in this basket. The packaging and presentation were very nice, but the contents left my wife looking for more. The candy was fresh and tasted good, but the portions were very small. The box and packaging weigh five pounds, but I would estimate there were only about 14 ounces or less of candy. For .99 plus .99 shipping, you could do much better shopping at your local HEB or Rite Aid. Next time I will buy her a two pound Whitman’s Sampler as they know how to pack a box with chocolates.

I love Ghirardelli chocolate & wanted to get an assortment. The listing says it is 2 pounds – it is not. I actually weighed it because all you get is what is in the photograph and it is 1 pound. Very much a rip off for the amount of chocolate to get 2 bars, a bunch of squares and 2 packets of hot chocolate mix. For a gift, it may be fine with the packaging, but for personal use, you are better off ordering something else.

To make it worse, the chocolate was stale.
